BORN IN ACTION

Our Story

In the days after October 7, a small group of U.S.-based founders, operators, and investors traveled to Israel's Western Negev to help rebuild homes and essential community spaces in affected kibbutzim.

What began as physical labor revealed something deeper: rebuilding shared places also rebuilds trust, connection, and community. From those first missions, The Builder Society took shape as a selective community of leaders defined by responsibility and return.

Early projects became long-term partnerships. A moment of response became sustained commitment. We exist for leaders who believe presence matters, and that the future is built through participation.

Core Values

How Builders Show Up

Participation through Action

Participatory Zionism means real work, not symbolic support. Builders take time away from their professional and personal lives to contribute physically to rebuilding efforts. Action is how community is formed.

Shared Responsibility

Builders take responsibility for Israel's future, with a focus on kibbutzim affected by October 7. Projects are defined with local partners, not imposed on them. Builders show up with humility, accountability, and follow-through. Commitment continues beyond any single mission.

Community as the Work

Community is not a byproduct of what we do. It is central to why and how we operate. Relationships are built through shared labor. The spaces we help rebuild are designed to support connection, resilience, and renewal, for the kibbutzim and for Builders themselves.

Our Projects

Identified and built in collaboration with the kibbutzim and the people who are part of the community, based on their needs and long-term vision.

Each project restores a physical space with the goal of fostering community and strengthening the kibbutz.

How We Build

Selective Cohort

We keep teams small and highly vetted to protect trust, pace, and responsibility on the ground.

Hands-On Leadership

Founders and operators bring strategic judgment and physical labor into the same mission.

Our Partners

Committed to protecting and rebuilding

Four lifelong friends from Eshkol near Gaza, Evyatar Rajuan of Kibbutz Tzeelim, Shir Marom of Kibbutz Re'im, Jesse Isralowitz of Kibbutz Magen, and Amos Lavi of Kibbutz Ni'irim, grew up together and built their lives and families in the region as entrepreneurs across agriculture, technology, construction, wine, and education. On October 7, their world changed when their close friend Dolev Yehud was killed while responding as a volunteer medic, and his sister Arbel Yehud was taken hostage to Gaza and later freed in January 2025. In response, their focus shifted to rebuilding their community and protecting its future.

Today, they are dedicated to supporting the well-being of Eshkol's children, many of whom experienced deep trauma, while working to restore homes, rebuild a sense of safety, and revitalize the region. Guided by Dolev's selfless spirit, they strive to honor him by strengthening their community and creating a resilient home for his family and for all.
